2024 2500 transmission leak

Yes I have the same exact problem I waited a month without my truck and they said that the seals are bad on the transmission that they are gonna have to replace them I have about eight thousand miles.

They just replaced them.

I drove it around a little today and it seems like it is leaking again it's the same little drip at the bottom of the inspection plug if anybody has any ideas please let me know.

Took truck in for service a few days back and they uv checked to confirm the fluid in fact was transmission fluid which is now confirmed.

Transmission has been pulled however I am being told that the seals they don't have part numbers for so they can't order them.  They tell me the transmission in the gas truck is so new that they don't have the part numbers in the catalog in order to order them.

The service manager has requested that chevrolet approve the install of a totally new transmission in order to get me back on the road.

I hope this new transmission doesn't show up on the carfax report or else the truck will have a substantially deflated value.

Did you find a resolution to this issue? I am experiencing the same on my 2023 10spd with 8800miles, had the reseal tsb as well and the leak is back after 200 miles. I am thinking there is more to this issue then just replacing seals.

I took it back a few more times they cleaned the bell housing out it looked like it was residual they blew it out probably four times before it stopped everything seems to be okay now I have 11,000 Mi now on it keep me informed

Will do, I talked to the tech who did mine and they said they cleaned out the bell housing before and after the repair. They even cleaned it once the convertor was back in place to eliminate any residual. So they are thinking this is still fluid leaking from the front cover still.

This is not what I was wanting to see. I am about ready to go pick up a 2025 with the 6.6 gas motor, and the 10 speed. Can’t help but wonder if the issue has been resolved in the new model year trucks ?

I have seen guys with 24' model trucks still have the issue and my buddy who is a gm tech has seen some as well. Not enough 25's out yet to know if they fixed it or not, hopefully after 4 model years you would think they could get things straight by now.

I have a 2024 gasser and my transmission is spotless. That's not to diminish what these guys are going through, but I wouldn't let it scare you away.

Yeah I don't think this problem is with all of them. Mine started to show up around 10k and it leaked worse when I was pulling my trailer on the highway for an extended period of time. Around town I could not get it to leak.

Just picked up my 2025 AT4X. 300 miles on the truck. Looked underneath when I got it home. Transmission leaking at what appears the rear seal. Dealer in the morning. Totally sucks.

Dan -- sorry to hear about this.  I had the same trouble early with my 2500 Sierra Denali.  You may be interested in my post (embedded here).  I describe in threads how it played out.  Good luck!

2024 2500 duramax... same problem. Severely disappointed.

 

Dealer say must replace seals in bellhousing. 3+ days labor and the transmission must be removed.

 

I noticed this at 15k miles, but I think it's probably been there since it was new 1.5 years ago. There are no drip spots in my driveway...I think it's only leaking under pressure while on the road under load. When it was brand new, I had a few memorable rough shifts while accelerating (not towing) of 'wtf was that,' but nothing since then. 

 

This truck is dead to me now and I am sadly/angrly making plans to get rid of it...I had plenty of vehicles and ALWAYS when stuff like this happens and gets repaired, it's a cascade of other problems. I don't care what any sales or service manager tries to tell me...personal experience multiple times. 

 

GM really let me down (again). My first car was 1991 sonoma and later I had a 1999 S10. Both had powertrain problems with age and I told myself I'd never get a GM product, but here I am 20+ years later thinking perhaps times have changed...no they haven't.

It’s not fixed I have a 2500 2025 transmission valve replaced 1100 miles and same spot is leaked truck drives like ****** too what a mistake atleast it’s a work truck not my personal

I have a 25 2500hd and mine is leaking it’s not fixed,  your on borrowed time

every single truck I know of this model leaks or did leak best of luck
