Dealership replaced both headlights a little over 2 weeks ago for the fast flash turn signal problems, the turn signals seem to be working ok now but only time will tell since that problem was very intermittent. A few days ago a new headlight problem started with the replacement lights . When the parking lights ,low beams or high beam lights are on the right Daytime Running Light flashes constantly.  Turn off the headlights and all is normal.    So when i drive the truck at night the right DRL constantly flashes,   trying to be patient while waiting for the dealership to decides what they are going to do.  I find it hard to believe that these headlight problems didn't show their face while all the GM employees were driving these trucks  prior to start of production.   Anyone have this problem yet?

Man GM needs to figure out what’s going on with the 24 trucks. On the first page of this forum alone there are 10 threads about 24 problems. Seems excessive.

This is a growing problem.  No HDs yet, but we've seen 4 1500s for this.  Hopefully they've got a TAC case on your truc and GM has engineering involved by now as you are not alone on this issue.

thanks for the info. i asked to have a TAC case opened for the turn signal problems but i dont think they did as they decided to replace both headlamp assembles. this is the 3rd time back for a headlight issue. it started within the first 100 miles.

Turn signal but its likely whatever is causing the one is probably causing the other as well since its all the same switchback LED that illuminates the signal and the DRL.

Of the 1500s, 3 of them the techs re-seated the headlamp connector and they've not been back with the same problem.  The 4th truck, they re-seated first, came back.  Got a TAC case, GM told them to check the headlight connector, two circuits at the lighting control module and fuse #4 in the passenger side dash fuse box.  Ended up getting a headlight, 2 weeks later customer called and its doing it again.

3 of the 4 trucks it was the right front headlamp.

Thanks again, ill see what happens Tuesday when i bring it back in. According to the work order the wiring and connectors were checked before they decided to put the new headlights in and i even re-seated both connectors before i even brought it in the first time.  the T/S's so far are working fine with the new lights.

This is certainly not what we like to hear, Cdoan54.  Please know, customer satisfaction is extremely important to us. Our team would be more than happy to take a closer look into the concerns with the headlights on your 2024 Chevrolet Silverado. To do so, please send an email to [email protected] with ATTN: Cdoan54/GM Trucks in the subject line.

Please include your contact information, VIN, a brief description of your concern, and the name of your preferred dealership. We look forward to hearing from you. I have a 2021 2500 diesel AT4 and the drivers side headlamp started the flickering thing on my yesterday.  I live in the country so heading to a dealer really sucks.

Any suggestions on how to fix this issue at home?

Has GM figured out how to fix this?  My 2024 Silverado 2500 is about to go in for the third time with the same right headlamp issue.   I first took my truck in 3wks after buying it, back in Oct (741miles),  for this issue but was told the part wasn’t in to fix it, spent 3 months waiting for the part and finally got it “fixed”and 4 days later it started again.  My dealership hasn’t been very helpful in resolving this issue, I call and leave voicemails and they never call back.  I’ll probably be without a vehicle again while waiting for it to be fixed.

Yes, there is a new bulletin about these.

I have a 2021 Silverado 2500 HD, duramax. About a month ago, my left side parking light began to flash, while the low beam and high beam would go out. It would continue this for part of my drive and then stop flashing and both beams work again. This intermittent issue went off and on for a few weeks, and now all three lights are out. Any thoughts?

    • Even tougher is the 5.0 / 302. That's what this one has.    https://postimg.cc/Z9XRrCSg   https://postimg.cc/4n3F3yzY   Just realized I had the airbox removed in the engine pic, lol.
    • Yep! This should be a pin somewhere as @pgamboa really dives into all of this. Thanks for reposting the link!
    • I did the new thermostat after doing a 'flip' for a year. Runs as cool one way as the other in the summer but in the winter there is a bit of a floor. Yellow with the new 70 C thermostat. My data over the life of the unit to date. Still need more cooler. Anyway that floor helped both winter fuel economy and shift quality in the winter. I found it a good balance.
    • Evan Williams Bottled in Bond   So pouring the last of a bottle of Evan Williams Black label last night I set off the the state store for a refill only to be denied the by an empty shelf. Rats.    What the did have was a bottle of Evan Williams Bottled in Bond. 100 proof. Hum, a few bucks more but a known distiller. Lets have a swing at it. ( I have before )    Cracked it open and pour a serving over ice. Hum.... more heat, yes. More alcohol naturally. But the barreling not the proof brings the taste and this one came up short.    Oh is was familiar but the heat ran the barrel over like a Peterbilt runs over a squirrel. Could use a heavier toasting of the oak me thinks or perhaps a longer barreling. Who knows. But what I can say is ice or a water back isn't the answer. What kills one kills them both. Sad. It is a pleasant drink....if you have little to compare it to.
    • I've had exactly one set of Bridgestone. Lasted five year and 125,000 miles and had I known better 15oK would have been a cake walk. I would have bought a like set had they not tripled in price since the first set. I removed them at said mileage with 5/32" remaining in dead even wear all four. They were fuel efficient, quite, comfortable and predictable.    Early on I got a very good alignment checked at least once a year, sometimes twice; kept the tires properly inflated, balanced and rotated. And I've found that many a tire issue can be avoided with great maintenance practices. Lot's of tire dealers will do rotation and balance (simple) for free for as long as you own the tire they sold you so no excuse not to.    Bead prep, alloy integrity and stem health have a huge impact on inflation stability. There are more mountings done poorly that perfectly. Finding a good tire guy is gold and as important as finding a tire you like.    That 3X price increase now two sets of "other tires' later is starting look like a bargain.      Bad maintenance kills more tires than bad tires.
