13.4” Infotainment Satellite View

Anyone know how to activate/enable Satellite View on Google Maps on the new  13.4” Infotainment System either on the native/built-in Google Maps or via CarPlay? Is it possible?

 

I have a 2024 GMC Sierra 3500 HD and can’t figure out how to change the view from the default. The dealer isn’t any help, nor can I find articles on it online.

In my android auto with the map on the left side (either full or split screen hit the settings icon in the bottom left corner.  Then hit the slide bar for satelite in the setting screen

I hadn’t even considered looking for satellite view until I saw this thread. I played around for a while and could not find an option in the truck’s google maps either. I guess that I can just use car play if I needed to use that feature.
