HMMM that was interesting. Silverado crewcab 1500 placed last. Oh well. What I cant figure out is that the Ford ranked lowest in almost every category and came in second place. The reason they liked the titan (1st place) was the acceleration. I dont understand these tests. They even stated in the beginning they are car guys. Myabe they need some guys who are actually into trucks doing the tests?

IMO, Car & Driver seems more concerned with "new" stuff than "good" stuff. The Silverado brings nothing new to the table other than the fact that it's a crewcab on a 1/2 ton.

Exact same thing ... the F150 has the new styling and lots of new goodies. (I must say that I did like the Furd interior the best ... the Chevy is definitely lookin kinda dated). How all this was enough to overcome scoring last in almost every category I don't understand.

Again, more of the same. The Titan is an entirely new truck and we all know that new = good, right???

Amen brother!!! I actually sat around to see the results of their "comparison" though I'd called the outcome before the segment even started. Car & Driver = suck when it comes to testing trucks. And, NO, riding around in the sand is not a good overall test of a truck's ability ... even if you jump a dune or two. *sigh*

I don't even bother watching or reading car and driver anymore, because, like you said, it always seems that they are only concerned with the new stuff. Kinda seems like that with any magazine though.

The best was watching the ram with its 20in rims get high centered on the dune.
