After 2 1/2 weeks in the shop (transmission tech was 2-3 wks out), my shuddering is gone. It was happening every time it gears from 1st-5th from what I could tell. Dealership quoted me around $1300 for triple flush, reprogram transmission module, and reprogram the ECU. I told them it's still under warranty, so service advisor made some calls. Price was going to be around $400 for the reprogramming since it's not covered plus my oil change and tires rotated.

Final cost $41 for triple flush, reprogramming, oil change and tire rotation. Used my $230 rewards from my wife's yukon transmission that went out on us driving back from vacation 10 hours away. $7100 for transmission and service advisor over charge some.

So far the shifts are great! Hoping it doesn't happen again and will keep an eye out for it. Before the warranty runs out, I'll probably sell or trade in for something else.

What transmission do you have and how many miles on it?

8-speed, 68K miles.

There was a similar (ish) issue with the Camaro A8 for the first few model years of the Gen6. The original fluid was not doing the job and some cars were developing a shudder. There was a TSB to correct that essentially required GM to dump the original fluid, flush, and fill with the updated fluid. Give that your truck should seemingly still have been under the powertrain warranty, there's a chance that this should have been fully covered. Might be worth calling Chevy to inquire to see.
