So I took the truck 11 miles from Corolla to Carova Beach, NC all the way to the Virginia line.  I have to say the new suspension is fantastic.  On the way up I did not air down but the grabber atx had no issues.  Drove near the dune line to get a lot of ruts and harder impacts and while you could definitely feel the impacts there was no perceived bottoming like with the ranchos.  On the way back down aired down to 20 psi and crossed the dune line multiple times exploring the neighborhoods.  Absolutely flawless experience.Screenshot_20240325_075439_Gallery.thumb.jpg.729aef122dc6c4511606487c024823cc.jpgScreenshot_20240325_075653_Gallery.thumb.jpg.e8bfcc5bc541052944f7976b16a400fb.jpgScreenshot_20240325_075620_Gallery.thumb.jpg.f1de9486a51b70eaab7365ee09003cb8.jpg

It really is hard to explain to someone how much of a difference these make.

I want to add this to my 21 SLT x31 diesel. Do I need the GM lift kit first or is there a better option?

Per GM, yes.

The DSSV stuff is direct bolt on for AT4 and Trail Boss as they already come with the lift.  Non factory 2 inch lift, again per GM, require that kit to be installed first.  Which I'd bet most of it has to do with the blocks and the longer CV axles up front that have better articulation.

This mod I find interesting to do based on the positive feedback.

So this DSSV mod on the TB's and AT4's would lower the truck's gross weight and towing capacity ratings due to the softer suspension setup.  Thus would it be safe to say that the revised ratings be similar to that for the ZR2 / AT4X?

Sorry for the delayed response. For some reason I wasn't getting notifications.

Yes as far as I know specifications regarding cargo capacity and tow rating will probably be much like the ZR2 or AT4X.

This is definitely a great upgrade!

I very recently drove on a very poorly constructed and maintained state highway in Arizona (St. Hwy 89).

Last year with the stock Rancho's the drive was unpleasant to say the least.

This year drive with DSSV's installed was a much improved driving experience.

Highly recommend this upgrade.
