2018 Silverado LT Z71 cracked taillight lens

I’ve got a 2018 Silverado LT Z71, dumb mistake but accidentally swung something into my drivers rear taillight lens and cracked it.

 

Ive been looking for LTZ taillights to replace them both with, but only finding $500+ options.

 

Any advice for where to find a good price on either these or a single oem non-LTZ led tail light?

The factory LED are $$$ and you will also need the Gen5diy PNP harness to make them work.

I would suggest eBay. There are many aftermarket ones in the $30-40 range. Personally for just a taillight housing, I wouldn't hesitate to go this route. If it was a major critical component(s) or larger body part(s), I would probably go OEM. For a minor thing like taillight, unless doing an upgrade to LED's like you mentioned, I would cheap out. You probably won't even notice a difference. I have done this before on an older 97 Silverado when the headlights had frosted over. Aftermarket were way cheaper and I couldn't tell the difference.

I have three sets of different aftermarket tail lights I've used and then swapped out.
Each one requires that the original tail lights are NOT LEDs even though the aftermarket ones are.
Something to do with wiring and such, I guess. (my original tail lights were not LEDs.)
