5th wheel in shop so yesterday was first time to hook up with our slightly used truck and bring camper home.  Box 7 pin plug had no power and tried bumper 7 pin which worked fine.  Brought it home and tested box 7 pin receiver again and no power.  Scheduled for shop in two weeks but wondering if anybody else has seen this.  BTW; brakes, all lights etc worked perfectly on bumper 7 pin.  Glad trailer cord was long enough to reach bumper.

Is it plugged in? At the plug, in the bed or in the tee harness? Easy to see and follow from under the truck.

Mechanic friend brought his 7 pin test light: bumper all works, box nothing.  He looked underneath and all appears plugged in and normal.

Dealer we bought from will inspect and resolve issue on the 20th.

Then road test to confirm all-camper camera, truck cameras, brakes and especially suspension.  May/probably need to install air bags.  Had airbags installed on last four trucks but this 2022 5th wheel is lighter and new trucks seem heavier.  Short road trip before longer camping trips will tell.

Thanks for reply.

Yeah, its kinda weird. The box connector is wired in parallel to the bumper plug. Its just a jumper that plugs inline. I'd suspect one end or the either isn't plugged in all the way, or a broken ground connection. Theres nothing more to the circuit.

Sorry, I didn't close this out.  Dealer found the bed plug was not seated at plug; couldn't tell with a visual.  Will do another practice tow after airbags are installed before first long trip (2000 miles) inMay.
