I have a 2023 Silverado 6500 stake bed diesel. We modified the stake bed and the welder wasn't paying attention. He melted the wiring on one of the marker lights. I assume the next time the lights were used is when it shorted. Now the driver side tail light and the marker lights on both sides don't work. The marker lights are all fed from the driver side tail light. I have cleared the short and have checked the rest of the lights. The only light on the bed that works is the passenger side tail light There are no bad fuses. I was told there is a module that controls the lights (BCM possibly) and if a short is detected it will kill that circuit. I was also told if the short is cleared the module would reset that circuit. Does anyone have any advice?

Thank you,

Thank you,

So both fuse 34 and 42 in the underhood fuse block are good?  Those two fuses are power for the park lamps.  Fuse 13 and 14 are for the stop/turn signals.

If those are okay, then its either one of the printed circuit board relays inside the fuse box, or the BCM got shorted out internally.
