Recently had a lot of rain and now my 18 Silverado is throwing the

U1510 and U1501 codes

also threw the P059F and P151E code as well

Do these codes all relate to the active shutters and their replacement or am I missing something?

thanks in advance

Active grille shutter.  Replace it and it shall go away.

The P059F is active grille shutter malfunction.  The U1510 LIN BUS code sets because the shutter is the only LIN BUS device that is connected to the ECM.  Everything else LIN BUS is other components like window switches, safety modules, etc.

Amazing thank you very much, I appreciate it. All 4 codes have to do with the stupid shutters and also causing the remote start not to work I’m assuming?

Correct.  Factory remote start stops functioning any time the check engine light is on, or if the fuel gauge is empty/light is on.

New question:

it’s raining a lot and I was wondering if that had anything to do with it throwing the P059F code again… cause I’m not in the mood to replace the grill shutter again with another brand new one or why would I throw another one?

Thanks again!

Could be wiring.

Did you replace with an OEM shutter assembly or aftermarket?  Seen aftermarkets set codes shortly after installation.  We had a Traverse that got smashed that came in with shutter codes, they had aftermarket "CAPA certified" shutters installed.  Put in an OEM and fixed it.

I have the same issue with the grill shutter on my 2018 Silverado. Curiously, it also came about after driving through heavy rain.  It’s the original assembly.  I’m trying to avoid changing it out since,  I’m still able to get it to stroke and clear the code briefly by disconnecting and reconnecting the harness, so, mechanically fine.  It seems like 600 plus dollars (Canada) is a little expensive for something that’s mostly okay.
Any ideas?

Wow, I’m having the same problem after driving through heavy rain, Chevy what a pc. U1501 code. Grill shutter. Was wondering is there a fuse I can start with before heading down the change out the whole assembly
