Trailer TPMS Sensor Pairing 2024 Denali

Had the TPMS sensors, that I ordered the truck with, installed on the wheels/tires by Americas Tire. They are the ones that came with the truck 4T+ I believe they said on the side.

 

Cannot pair using both the manual method of letting air out or the other method which uses a programmer which I bought off Amazon.

I did verify the transmitter/receiver is mounted behind the license plate.

i have 35 foot 5th wheel and had constant issues with pairing them to my new 2024 sierra hd  dealer finally got up and said the sensors are too far away from the truck receiver behind plate . specs call for max distance of 23 feet .

my is 22 feet will catch front tires but wont sync to rear tires which are further away . duramax forum has a thread about relocated the receiver below the plate to improve reception .finally there is a thread showing it relocated to the trailer with an extension cable . i will try to drop the receiver down and give it another try . the dealer was mildly helpful but they dont know much either . measure from the receiver to the back of your tire to check distance . the arm tool does not work for me either used manual method . hope this helps . GM has not properly tested this on different trailers .

I had the tires off the trailer and placed them one foot from the license plate as well to see if that was part of the issue. I still could not pair. My trailer is a 25 foot trailer so distance doesn't seem to be an issue.

I have a 40' fifth wheel, just about every time I rotate trailer tires or have them replaced, I have problem getting the trailer TPMS system working.  What has worked for me is deleting the trailer profile and setting up a new one.  Remember to record the trailer miles before deleting the old profile, if it matters to you.

You are a genius. That worked FIRST time after I deleted and added a new trailer.

Next question is the only way to see the trailer pressures is by going into the trailer mode or can they be on the same screen while a map is showing?

Just check to trailer screen after you start rolling, and then go back to your map screen.  If you set up the max pressure, the truck will let you know in the DCI if a tire gets hot or pressure goes too high.  It saved me twice on our last trip chasing the eclipse from Arizona to central Texas and back.

 

I already drank that beer when I gave up troubleshooting and just deleted the old profile and started with a new one!

It's what I used after the manual method didn't work. Once I deleted and added the trailer, I used the tool you posted.

looking to get the tool to set up the tpms system on my2024 denali altimate for a 5th wheel RV I'm picking up soon. When I look on amazon, these reset tools are 10 bucks to 15 bucks, but when I query 2024 gmc, they all appear, but in one of the pictures it show compatibility, some units only go to 2023 DRW??? how to know if these units will work with 2024 GMC? or is it to just see if they cover 433hz is good enough?
