2020 WT 7-inch Back-up camera

Is there a way to keep the BUp camera running constantly while driving forward? Mine is programmed to shut off after using the screen icon to turn it on.

No. It turns off 8 seconds after turning it on via the screen button. It is this way from the factory.

All trims have an 8-10 second timer and will turn off. Yeah it would be nice to have it on sometimes while towing but, they want you looking at the road and not the screen.

My '23 LTZ with the tech package will keep the rearview camera on when camera is selected. Just used it to keep an eye on a log splitter being towed about 15 miles.

The rearview camera mirror is a TOTALLY different thing than just the backup camera in the tailgate.

The WT trim the OP has only displays the picture on the infotainment screen. The tech package you have will show on the rear view mirror because that is what it's for. The OP may be able to add that feature on his truck but, then he has to look at cost. The mirror, camera tail light, and cables are not cheap.

My view is on the big info screen with the tech package. Can toggle hitch, bed or tailgate camera views. 

Rearview mirror in mine is mirror or mirror camera view only, every other view is on the big center dash screen. 

I can see a WT being limited on factory options as it will not have 8 cameras.
