Gravel Stuck In Front Grille Air Ducts

I drive dirt roads quite a bit and I noticed that there is a bunch of gravel and small rocks in the front grille air ducts. Is there a way to get to them and get them out or prevent this? Any input is greatly appreciated.

1.  Get a set of the dental type picks from your local Harbor Freight store.

 

2.  Quit tailgating or following too close to the vehicle in front of yours.

Thanks I'll have to try the picks and it mostly happens when the tires throw the rocks forward or when it's wet and the tires pick up the gravel and throw it forward into the back of the ducts
