2014 CCSB Z71, Took a new job that requires near weekly trips of 160 miles one way (320 round trip) all highway. I am right around 118K miles, I still have the original Ranchos. Seems amazing as I have seen people complain about them out of the box, or replacing them before 30k, but for me, the ride has been fine. Starting to get a little bounce. Assuming this continues, I'll be looking for a commuter car, but for for now, I'll keep taking the truck. To make my wide a bit more comfortable, I was going to go back to set on Michelin defenders, but what do folks recommend for new shocks for primarily highway driving?

i am not sure about suspension, but i would make sure i have road tires instead of off road.  i had mud ans snow tires for a long time, but recently changed to road tires.  the change gives me a much smoother ride

I drove 50K miles a year. A good deal on the HWY. My business involved off roading on pipelines and utility ROWs. I generally kept my trucks 150K miles. Some had the Z-71 package. Some were two wheel drives. My first choice of tire was KOs. They weren’t noisy. But I always had exhaust and modified my radio. Led Zeppelin is best loud. The shocks always did the job even with off road abuse. And never had a flat. Even in the thorny brush country around Austin.

Sounds like you answered your own question. You like the ride. Got a long life so replace with OEM.
