In the morning during the summertime, when it's first started up, what temperature should the transmission oil be?                                                                                                                      Is it normal for it to read 90°F without having been used the day before? Suggestions?

It should be read close to ambient temp if it's sat for many many hours.

But if it's only 50 degrees that morning and it's reading 90 already, the temp sensor could be faulty.
