hi all - I noticed fluid leaking from my rear differential at the pinion a couple weeks ago. I could see a droplet coming from where the drive shaft connects, so I put a brand new OEM pinion seal and nut in and all seemed well until I just looked and saw fluid still leaking with a small puddle on the garage floor. Any thoughts on how it could still be leaking despite having installed a new seal? The install seemed to go shockingly well and I thought I was in the clear.

Could be a defect in the yoke, and you may need to replace that along with a new seal again.
