New 2024 3500HD Software Update?

Just got my 2025 duramax home little over week ago. Check engine light came on and giving code. Took to dealer and they said a module in the radio that connects to onstar went bad but on recall. Something to do with the SDG handshake. Now i sit and wait and can't use my GM phone app to start truck or do anything. Brand new truck not even 500 miles on it. Very frustrating. Not to mention i'm getting no use of my free ONstar trial  period now.

When was your truck built (month & year are on the lower portion of the B pillar. If it was before Sept', someone dropped the ball @ the dealership. 

 

I bought mine in Sept' & looking at the recall/update/campaign history online, my truck was updated the day before I picked it up. I later got an email from GM notifying me of it, even though it had ready been completed.

 

Talking to them about the email notification, they said they have to complete any outstanding recalls or updates before a vehicle can be sold.

I'll have to look at when it was built. I'm not sure how to see the recalls/update information or where that is at.

You can access the recalls thru My Chevrolet or whatever the GMC app is called.
