I have a 2022 LTD LT 2.7T. It seems that these engines are well known to consume oil. I am adding 0.25 qt every 1000 miles. Otherwise, the truck has been good (currently at 58k miles). Also read other engines are also consuming oil too. What is going to happen in the future if engines keep eating up oil like this? Am I going to face major repairs requiring $xxxx to fix when more than 100k miles something? I think there is nothing I can do about this. I just change oil every 3500-4000 miles.

Be sure you are checking if cold, before first start of the day to get the most accurate level reading.

If it is going down at that rate you'll probably add a quart every 4000 miles and be none the worse for it.

Used to be a quart in 4000 miles meant a quart between between oil changes and life was good.

(Maybe you'd prefer to add 1/2 quart every 2000 miles)

Some engines that 'don't use any'  - it's because they aren't run long enough to get the condensation out and it is accumulating.

Or they are collecting a little fuel in the oil.

Or the mystery coolant loss is ending up in the oil.

Well within the limits per GM, that's for sure.  1 quart in 2000mi is the consumption limit.  You are 1/2 quart in 2000mi.

Being its a 2.7, look for leaks first.  Oil pan, oil cooler, turbo lines.

I don't consume but I leak (oil cooler).  1/2 a quart in 3000mi is my leak rate.
