For those of you that have added a steering stabilizer bracket, did you replace the LCA bolt during the process? The instructions for Kryptonite and SuspensionMaxx say you just loosen enough to get the bracket on and then retighten it. When researching these I came some info saying that the LCA bolt is torque to yield and should never be loosened and then retorqued. Does anyone know if the LCA bolts are TTY and if that’s a concern to be reusing that bolt? Thanks

Same here, but went with the Kryptonite bracket. I just happened to come across info that the control arms bolts are torque to yield and a few people on another forum basically made it sound like guaranteed failure if you reuse them.

Honestly I replaced mine with the supplied bolt. I installed and torqued to spec. I've not heard that its a TTY bolt however and for the life of me don't know why it would be for a suspension component.

I can confirm the LCA bolts are TTY and are listed as single-use on the GM Parts sites.  That said, I'm not a super smart engineer type that can explain what would happen if you reuse the bolts.  I just replaced mine as part of a large suspension job.  Those bolts are freaking expensive if you wait until the last minute to buy them.  I think you can order them on Tasca.com and other sites for about $9 per bolt.  GM lists them at $13 and change.  The local dealers in Houston are price gouging for parts now and got me for $23 per bolt.  Gotta love it.

2 of mine have not failed, yet, by loosening and re-tightening.
