Adding heated mirrors to 98 Tahoe

Another thing I'm pretty clueless about!! Haha I can get OEM heated mirrors but I do not originally have heated mirrors. I'm guessing that the OEM heated mirrors in trucks that already have them simply come on when the rear defroster button is pushed. So what I am wondering, is if I get OEM heated mirrors (or even a set of after market heated mirrors with signals as well) is the wiring already there since I have a 98 or would it have to be added?? What all would be needed to have it added?? Like I said, I'm clueless about this so any info at all would be great appreciated!! THANKS!!!

The normal power mirrors have a 6 pin plug and the heated/autodimming ones have a 8 pin plug. Not sure how far back you have to change the wiring, but I do know it is different.
