Definitely, Wall St wondering when this stupidity will end too. President is taxing Americans higher than any other has in modern history through tariffs and they love him for it. Until they realize the majority of rural and red states voters are gonna loose their low cost medical coverage they won’t wake up. Bessent is struggling to keep a slight bit of economic sanity in play but our president knows more and better how to run a company or country according to his statement yesterday.

All the so called economists were wrong. So far the last 6 months have been very positive. Last month we had more money come in than went out. The CarPro radio show I listen to has been warning the car prices were going to increase. They haven’t. Use car prices have, that’s good if you’re trading in. Things I buy have gone down. Except my IRA.

Underlying wall st fundamentals are powering through. In spite of Trumps idiocy. I gave him enough time. He’s screwing up by numbers.

Here’s a good indication of truth.

California provides $83.1 billion more than received from the federal government.

Texas? In the same year, they received $71.1 billion more than they provide to the federal government.

Every red state voters who loose they Medicaid will wake up soon. Sadly MAGA controlled GOP made sure the full impact takes place in 2026 AFTER MID TERMS.

It’s hard to have a reasonable conversation with someone who holds a failure like Californias government as anything positive. Most undocumented head there get free services. Overwhelming the system. Like most blue governments. Just a few days ago people were pointing to the current governor wondering how he could come in power. With billions in surplus and reversing to billions in the red. Begging the federal government to bail them out because of the failed policies that have ruined their state. Give me a break.

That’s facts. You can be butt hurt but it’s the truth. Your state complains about feds but sucks 71 billion outta taxpayers.
Commies in Cali pay more in than they take. 10 billion more than red texastan.
What’s the argument?

And GM just reported a $1.1 Billion loss from tariffs in Q2. They're on track to lose almost 5 Billion this year if tariffs maintain their current levels.

Remember, tariffs are a tax. We as consumers pay it. I've never seen so many rubes duped into paying a national VAT ranging from 10%-145% under false pretenses in my life.

They put too much into hope in electric vehicles. People are afraid to buy trucks with the failing engines. They totally gave up the car market.

Again, the facts are not on your side. Go ahead and bury your head in the sand away from reality. GM vehicles actually sold well in the first two quarters of the year, but their financial performance was harmed by a $1.1 Billion loss due to tariffs.

GM could lose all its money to tariffs and you'd come up with some lie about how it was due to an outside factor. Please, be honest. Didn't your father teach you not to lie?

I have no sympathy for GM building vehicles outside the US and paying tariffs. It’s pretty stupid if they sell at a loss. Especially since they’re selling under MSRP? I did read they lost large betting on electric. Actually did commit to going all electric by 2035. They probably could have gotten a waver if they committed to coming back to the US. Something is going on if they’re not playing ball and actually are paying the tariffs. I have no sympathy.

Trump announce a massive deal with Japan. 15 percent tariffs. 550 billion in investments in the US. Lots of US jobs. And imports into their country.

You don't understand this subject very well, do you? Automotive supply chains are global and have been for quite some time. What gives anyone the right to harm US businesses by dictating where, when, and how they can produce their products?

In addition to supporting your "tariffs" aka, national VAT, now you want the government having an even bigger say in how US companies produce their goods? Sick. Sounds like communism to me.
