2009 Chevy silverado 5.3 flex fuel EVAP

I have a 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 5.3 liter flex fuel. I got an Evap leak I hooked a smoker up to the system I got smoke coming out of a line that goes up and over the transmission. The end of the line isn’t plugged into anything at all. Could this be a vent? any one have a diagram to show where it goes? The code I get is P0442. Any help would be appreciated as I need to get this fixed to pass the good old NY state inspection.

Does said line have a filter at the end of it?  

 

I'd be leaning towards a stuck or sticking open canister solenoid vent valve.  Was a VERY common failure on that generation of truck.

For my '12 3500, the vent solenoid goes to a flex hose running up to the vent/filter attached to the fuel inlet bracket.  The evap line running up to the engine connects to a solenoid on the intake manifold..
