Buried a friend of mine last week

Last week, a friend of mine and his wife were in a severe auto accident.  His wife was driving when another car hit them head-on.  A lady from out of state fell asleep at the wheel, swerved into their lane, and hit them.  They actually hit on the shoulder (paved), it seems as though they had little, if any, time to react.  Wes was killed instantly, and his wife is in intensive care in Wichita.  The sad part is, it happened on a straight, level stretch of highway, in broad daylight, with ideal weather conditions, at 8 o'clock in the morning.  Please folks, if you are starting to get tired, stop and take a break, get some coffee, kick the tires, whatever.  Let's all try to be safe out there.   Take time to be safe!   Bob

  Sorry to hear about your loss.  I lost a good friend a couple years ago in a car accident because someone else wasn't paying attention.

 

Hopefully this reminder from you will remind us all to be safer out there on the roads.
