They don't have just rear air suspension.

 

Its 4 corner air suspension now and its pretty much exclusively paired with Magnetic Ride Control. 

 

You can get the adaptive air suspension on RST, with the RST Capability Package, on Z71 with the Off-Road Capability Package, and on High Country with the High Country Deluxe Package. 

 

On GMC its optional on AT4 and Denali with the Premium Capability Package with Active Response 4WD, standard on AT4 Ultimate and Denali Ultimate.

 

Otherwise its standard 4 corner passive suspension so regular non air, non magride struts front and rear.   

 

 

I've never owned one with it, but I do know its got some bugs that may be ran across.  Leaking fittings and 2025-2026 they've seen some defective air manifolds.  Also, DO NOT add any lowering or leveling kits!  It does not like it!  

 

As for towing, the same rules apply as without air suspension.  Don't exceed the rated trailer tow rating and tongue weight.  Just because it has air doesn't mean you can overload or over tongue.

Thank you for the intel on this feature.

It's too much "stuff" for me to have on a unit as my household policy remains "simpler is better".

 

Interesting will be the longevity of these suspension air bags in bitter cold temps or long periods of dormancy/storage situations?

it's great when it works and terrible when it doesn't.  rivan, audi, gm, all use the same stuff more or less and it's auto level air not what you think.  it's slow as ****** and annoying when towing with a WDH.... it's a real pain to setup a WDH because you can only have like 3/4" change in rake else the trailer is hung on the auto level air, the WDH is unloading and it's a mess.  i had it on my ram but figured out how to maintain the rake and stay within the front/rear (rake) tolerances.  so long as the front and back drop together, you're good.  the systems are nitrogen filled and over time they leak, and replenish themselves with outside air which is highly prone to freezing and breaking lines whatever.  the pumps also over heat if you actually use the damn thing.

 

i had 125,000 miles on my ram with the auto level air and specifically got a 2024 yukon with the max tow package magna ride BUT NO AIR!!!!  the 2025 max tow package forced the E-Diff on the yukon which would've been nice but it also forces the auto air level because of the packages they use.

 

i'd freaking avoid that self level air or understand what you're getting.  arnott is ok, hit or miss, but my plan had i not spun the no.2 main on the ecodiesel, was to delete the air from airdelete.com. it's cheaper to put in a eibach level kit than to replace 2 air struts, no joke.

 

my best friend had maganride in his 2016 denali sierra and opted for a 2024 SLT less the magna ride.  he tows a 35' jayco twicea month.

Can you get a 2025 with coil springs and the rear air helpers still?

 

Option 1: Coil springs at all 4 corners.

Option 2: Coil springs at all 4 corners with helper air springs on the shocks.

Option 3: Air bags/springs at all 4 corners.

 

If option 2 is even a thing, its function will be different from option 3.

 

As noted, setting up a WDH with automatic load leveling (option 2 and likely part of option 3) is tricky where you have to follow recommended set up practices from the owners manual of both the truck and the hitch - which could be contradictory. In either case some time spent at a truck scale carefully measuring where and how much weight is being transferred is critical. The goal is getting the weight distributed properly regardless of any 'level' or 'sag' condition. This can be confusing because as the truck tries to 'level' itself it will alter the weight distribution.

Not anymore.  

 

Standard suspension is front coil over struts, rear multi-link with coil springs.

 

You can get Magnetic Ride on its own on Premier and High Country, at GMC its standard on everything but Elevation.  Base MagRide is 4 corner regular springs with the Mag shocks.  

 

The Adaptive Air Suspension is 4 corner air springs and is paired only with Magnetic Ride.

To be clear - no more rear Mag shocks with the integral air bag on them in the rear?

Two magrides.  

 

Magride on its own which is 4 mag struts that have traditional springs.  Front and rear independent suspension.

 

4 corner air with Magride.  4 corner mag struts that have air springs.  Front and rear independent suspension.

 

The old style trucks that had the solid rear axle had a multi link solid axle with regular springs and mag shocks with air for load leveling.  New ones do not have this design being independent rear suspension.
