Change lights properties

Hey, I've seen a few posts on this topic, but nothing is very clear. I own a 2017 Silverado 1500 that I imported from Canada. I'd like to have the "normal" headlights with the amber lights activated as parking lights and be able to turn them off whenever I want, outside of automatic mode. Is there a solution for this? From what I've seen, it's all about programming. Could you shed some light on this?

PS: I'm in Europe.

For my '12 3500, I added a switch in the circuit from the bcm to the low-beam circuit going to the fuse box, to turn off the headlights at night, primarily for parking w/o flashing the headlights into the neighbors house.

You probably will have to do something like this. Or possibly a company like white automotive media can flash your bcm to make it work as you want.

In the states when we get imported from Canada GM vehicles, GM made it clear that they can't and won't support re-flashing the BCM to override their as-built Canadian spec to give full lights control like the US spec'd vehicles have where you can turn the headlights and DRL off completely, or run just in the park mode.

That said....

There is companies here in the US that are able to custom write BCM programming to solve this.
