Curious how long its taking now to get a 2500 HD gas built now. Placed the order second week of December. Been at 2030 for a couple weeks now. Not feeling real good about that. It's a LTZ model, flex tailgate, spray on bedliner and 5th wheel prep, and about every other option.

TIA

My order may be too long ago to have current relevance but will give you the example. Physically ordered my 3500 gas High Country on Oct 10th of 2024 and it was built during the week of Jan 15th at the Flint plant, and arrived at the dealer here in western Canada around the middle of Feb of 2025. So just over 4 months from the time I walked into the dealership to order it and there was no hold given at the time the order officially went through and got accepted which itself took three weeks possibly for that to all go through the system ( can't recall the code for confirmation of a build ). Keep in mind that the plant shut down for Christmas break so that certainly would have added some dead time and also whatever issues there may be in lag time for shipping across the border and to western Canada. When I ordered the truck I assumed it would most likely be built in Canada as that seemed logical as they build that very truck platform in Oshawa as well as Flint, what I did not realize until some time after I already owned the truck is that Oshawa does not use the color code Radiant Red for whatever reason in the few colors they do use where as Flint does and so it had to get made in Flint. While my truck does not have a sunroof as I opted not to get that, I do have what might be peculiar items such as the double alternators and two battery system ( for a gas engine truck ) and have the upfitter switches, and as its a HC it has the spray in liner and I ordered it with the fifth wheel prep in the bed and the multi flex tailgate, the heads up display and camera rear iew mirror system, a lot of similar items to your truck I would think. Mine is the standard 6'9" box crew cab single rear wheel just to be clear ( its not a long box or dually ).

So I would say with your build, it also fell into the holiday time period right after you ordered it so that would have put it into that dead zone as well just because of the timing. I also have to wonder and this just happened recently that at the Oshawa plant I believe they cut back to two shifts ( they laid off a shift ) because of the tariffs and I am only speculating that may cause more backlog if the order demand is there of course for the Flint plant. Too many balls in the air always with twists and turns to nail down time lines I would guess. In saying that and again I don't have the code sheet in front of me but do you have a so called confirmed proposed "build week" date yet from your dealer ?. As an edit I just looked now at the code list and I see the 2030 is a bit of an odd code and I think it has to get up to code 3300 to have an established build week. Once you get that production build week you will have a lot better idea but still shipping can be the final mystery but at least the dealer should be able to confirm when the truck is actually physically built and waiting to be shipped. My truck was just over 4 months in all.

That's what one wants to hear, from that I was lead to understand they have quantity of all products in the system to build your specific truck. and so anywhere within that week starting March 9th they would build it and then the dealer should be able to see that its built, but then it sits waiting for shipping and that is the dead zone until it shows its in transport heading to your dealer. I was counting mine from the build week date of mine to when it showed up at the dealer it was a month but who knows when during the week it actually got built as they don't put an actual date on the door sticker, only the month it was built. Will it show up by the middle of April, maybe so but it seems one can never plan on anything when it comes to the shipping as there would be so many variables with what car hauler trucks are available and if a shipment is headed to your general area.
