All newer versions of iOS have the Liquid Glass UI which I really don't enjoy so far. The first version of it really screwed with my 12 Pro, everything from apps, random crashes, to rendering websites correctly in Safari. A lot of stuff was fixed by 26.3, but it still runs slow on older phones. The phone was on its last wish after 5+ years of heavy use so I bought a 17 Pro last weekend. I managed to get a $140 trade in credit for the old phone through Apple. Literal pennies on the dollar when you consider a new one will blow an $1100 hole in your pocket. Carrier credits can help reduce the cost, but that requires new service contracts, which requires upgrading to a more expensive plan, blah blah. And so goes the revolving carousel of disappointment with mobile carriers.

My 13 mini is still toast on apps even after today’s latest update. My iPhone SE is working flawlessly.

Finally I did a reset to factory settings. My old iPhone was my backup. That fix the crashes but I still had many ads, even with ad blocker. I downloaded duck duck go with another ad blocker. All is well so far.
