Anyone ever had an issue with both headlights not turning on?

I was on the highway, with my headlight switch always set to auto, the sun went down and the headlights never turned on. I tried moving the switch and triggering just the high beams aswell and nothing would work. I made it home and turned the truck off and back on again and they came back on and have been on since. Any ideas? Checked all the fuses, just have LEDs in it that both work.

Just a guess, do you have a windshield tint?
Also, did you inadvertently cover the dash sensor for a bit of time?

No windshield tint, and nothing covered the sensor. It all started when I left my truck at the airport for a week while I was traveling.

Yep, a low battery can mess up all kinds of things.
Once you get a full charge and clear all of the codes, all should be good.
Been there and done that as I'm on my third battery - when the other ones discharged to a low voltage, I'd always have to clear the codes to get everything back to normal.
You may have some legacy codes which would be beneficial to clear.

Proper headlight functionality is imperative to safely operate your 2014 Sierra. It is highly advise to visit a GMC dealership for a diagnosis before continuing driving the vehicle any further. Allow us to help connect you with one in your area by emailing us at [email protected]. Please include any additional information into your Sierra and add your forum username in the subject line. From there, we will be in the best position to assist.
