Does anyone happen to know how much PAG 46 oil to add when replacing the condenser in this truck?  Thanks in advance.

Total system capacity is TINY - only 6.1 oz., so 1 oz. is plenty, IMO.  The thing to do is see how much comes out of the old one, taking into account how long it's been leaking for, and how severe the leak is. A blowout with a giant oil cloud is going to require more than just a hairline crack, for example.

Prop it up over a drain pan for a half hour or longer (longer is better) or until it stops dripping. That's roughly the amount you want to put back, also taking into account a coating inside that you'll never get out.

The evaporator and accumulator tend to hold the most oil, so I'd be fine adding 1 oz. Going overboard with oil kills the cooling ability of the system - I've seen it more times than I can count.

Thanks!  I appreciate the help.  Yeah, it's my son's truck and it has the leak on the top right side of the condenser at the weld which is pretty common from what I have read.
