I'm looking around at some used wheels and tires, mostly wheels, but the center bore is a concern. Are they the same between the two drive systems on GM?

Also, would there be any clearance issues going from an 18" wheel to a 17" wheel?

Yes, I'm aware that google exists, where's the fun in that? Give you guys something to do ya? lol 🙂

Nope,  2wd wheels are 5 hole, 4wd are 6 hole.

That is not true on 1999+ model year trucks. All of the half tons run 6 lug wheels.

The earlier trucks like the OBS from 88-98 had 5 lug and 6 lug wheels.

17in rims was standard on NNBS trucks from 2007.5+ to clear the brakes.

I have the wheels from my 98 HD 2500 4wd on my 04 2500 HD 2wd, 8 lug. OOPS I just saw you have a 1500

88-98 is OBS (old body style)

99-07 is NBS (new body style)

07.5-13 is NNBS (new new body style)

14-18 is K2XX

19+ is T1XX

It's just how people classify the trucks and how GM does as well.
