2020 Sierra 2500 windows rolling down

2020 Sierra 2500 HD (base model) gas engine 4wd. 

 

All 4 windows roll down on their own. Happens somewhat randomly after stop and engine off - when engine turned off, when walking away from vehicle before or after locks activated. Pulled the window fuse F14 Instrument Panel Fuse Block Right; the driver's side still activates from driver's side door panel; passenger and back seat windows activate from local switches on their doors but not from driver's side group of switches. Power mirrors don't activate with fuse removed either (same fuse for both circuits). Problem not solved. 

 

How can they even activate with fuse removed but they are all still opening and can control from each door?  When they open on their own, I can shut them from the switch in each door, but they don't stay closed. 

 

Seems to be activated somehow with key fob; something bumping the key fob in my pocket or just handling - removed key fob and took it far enough away and now the windows stay closed. Replaced key fob batty just in case, no change. 

 

Sounds like some kind of wiring short or maybe electronics. Dealer will first replace electronic control module without checking anything else and I anticipate problem will still exist since their troubleshooting skills are limited to "do whatever the computer says".  In any case, keyfob seems to be activating the circuitry. 

 

Surely I'm not the only one with this issue, but I can't find anything related on the site. What do yall think?

Do you have the second key fob?  If so, wrap the one you have been using in foil or take it to 100 feet or more away from the truck. Drive the truck with the other fob for a few days to see if it still happens. 
 

If it appears to be caused by the fob, maybe the button is stuck on (I think it’s the unlock button that lowers the windows if you hold it down).

 

I have had that happen a couple of times on other cars due to the button getting pressed by something in my pocket. More often the panic alarm has been pressed. I try to carry only the fob in that pocket now.

Go into vehicle settings and see if it is activated.

Remote window operation is on.  Your fob is being activated in your pocket and is putting pressure on the unlock long enough to trigger the remote window down feature.

 

You can turn it off in the vehicle settings.  Or, if you want it on, consider changing where you are putting your key fob on your person.

It may well be related to the key fob unlock function - the truck unlocks itself driving down the road as well (neglected to mention in first post ;o((. 

 

I have a real basic model doesn't have the auto window rolldown function so nothing comes up on "settings" (or anywhere else I can find). Holding the unlock button didn't make window roll down happen either. I guess the electronics might still be installed but disabled for my base line truck. 

 

I put the fuse back in so all windows work from the driver side, now but the lock function doesn't work at all on driver side. Unlock does work from drivers' side and lock does work from passenger side. 

 

I am not at same location as other key fob, so we'll just work with key only for now. The fob I've been using has been relocated to away from truck and that seems to keep windows up. A new fob is expensive, isn't it?
