My 04 TB states that the tire pressure for the front should be 30 psi and 35 psi in the rear. I have the 17" rims and the stock Continental P265/65/R17 tires. It just sounds odd to me that you would have 30 psi in the front, but what do I know. Anyone know why this is? I think the tires are rated up to 44 psi max, what tire pressure do you recommend? I'm thinking about putting 35 all around. Thanks for the info.

I keep my '99 Blazer at about 32 all the way around, sometimes a little more in the front. I don't know the difference, but I guess if it says that in the manual or on the inside of the door it's right.

for the most ever wear park on a flat surface and let air out till the tread is completely touching the ground on the edges. this will ensure even tire wear. they run more in the rear to ride better while towing

I ALWAYS run mine to the max pressure listed on the sidewall...It gives better gas mileage, less chance of a blow-out and you dont even notice the ride difference! 35 is the usual pressure...the sticker on the door is for the soccer mom who doesnt give a crap about their truck...I know if your reading this YOU DO!!!

I did run mine at max pressure also, but it started to wear the outside edges a bit, so now I'm several pounds under max. I keep my tires rotated every 6,000 miles and never balance them....they are balanced at the factory. I estimate I could get at a max 70,000 miles out of my GY Wrangler RT/S. 55,000 now and still a good amount of tread.

I must clarify. My truck was new when I bought it. I have NOT bought new tires for this truck. Yes, when I purchase new tires I will have them mounted and balanced properly. But on a new truck from the factory you should not have to balance your tires. But, we all know brand new trucks are not perfect and free of defects.
