Great! Thanks for the reply!

Do they make lockers for the rear? I opted to not get the G80, and probally will install an E-Locker if I can find one.

The 1500HD and 2500LD also have rears with 14 bolts; to

avoid confusion when buying parts, your HD has a full

floating axle non c-clip.

Just thought this might help.

MR2500HD,

They do make lockers for that axle. Eaton makes the G80 locker that comes from the factory and they also make an E-Locker for your application.

RogueOne,

Welcome to the site! :smash:

As far as your question about changing the rear gears I don't know of anbody that has. But as far as the Duramax goes your gas mileage will keep improving as you put more miles on your truck. Most people have reported improved mileage even over 50,000mi. The Duramax takes a while to break-in. Either way you are probably getting much better gas milage than those of us that have gassers. These are big trucks and great mileage is normally not included. You will eventually see over 20 mpg and that is darn good for a truck. :D

Appreciate the welcome Chevyfreek... :smash: I am aware about the break-in period but is 11.3 - 11.9 on the computer normal for 2500 miles? and on the subject....would I have to switch the front-end gears also ( Posed this gear ? to a GM mechanic today....when I took my stereo in for warranty......CD would not take CD's  )
