does tire size affect performance?

I have 235/70R15's on my 98' Jimmy, what affect on performance, handling, and braking will I see if i switch to 235/75R15's

absolutely. the taller the tire the more sidewall flex, affecting your handling. Plus, let's say you have 3.42 gears and you go to a taller tire. it's like swapping to 3.23's or 3.08's depending on how tall you go. By the same token, put a shorter tire on and it's like going to a 3.55 or 3.73.(just examples)
