2002 Envoy, Suspension, Load Leveling

I just bought a new Envoy almost a month ago now and it is equiped with the load leveling suspension.  It is pretty cool, but I am wondering if it is working properly.  It seems to act normal...the compressor turns on and pumps the back end up when you start it, or when people get in, etc.  However, when you stop the vehicle for too long in one place (like at long stop lights), the back end slowly goes down, lets say 2 inches for the sake of arguement...then after about 10-15 seconds (still stopped) the compressor starts and raises it again a small amount, lets say 1/2 - 1 inch.  Is this normal?  Is the speed of vehicle somehow associated with rear suspension. This may make sense...as you obviously don't need alot of suspension at a stop.  But why let air out to immediately put it in.  I guess my biggest fear is that this is happening during driving and I just can't hear the compressor or tell if the back end is slowly lowering.  Has anybody else noticed this??  Any feedback would be helpful.  Love the envoy...wish gas mileage was as advertised, but the vehicle is great.

Thanks,

Brian

im no air suspension expert, but i would believe that the shocks or air bags have a small leak somewhere.when your driving down the road, the suspension is usually compressed slightly due to wind and road conditions, and when you stop, the rear usually raises, so speed shoudnt be a factor. try letting your vehicle sit with the ignition on and the air system turned on, and see if it slowly drops, cause a air leak will be more pronounced with more pressure in the shocks than with them empty.
