What kinda knife do you carry? How long have you had it?

I'm in the market for a knew pocket knife and I'm open for suggestions. I've been carrying a Gerber for awhile now, and I'm tired of it. I want to get something that will last, hold an edge, and not be a pain to sharpen. My Gerber has been none of those with daily use. I've been thinking about getting a Benchmade for awhile now, mostly this one clicky. Yes I know it is technically illegal to carry.

BTW: what are the laws as far as switchblades? Punishment and such? :flag:

I have a Smith & Wesson Golden Issue. Good knife. Easy to sharpen and cuts well. It was cheap too. $15 (I got a very good deal on it though, normally it would be more). Don't know if you can still get them though...it was a limited edition that came out in '02 for the 150th anniversery. I also have a Fury knife...sharp little f**ker and VERY cheap. I got it brand new for $4 in Alabama.

EDIT: This is the Smith & Wesson I have.

You still can get it. I guess it is meant to be a show peice, but I use it! Works great.

That depends. I would think a misdemeanor, but I am not sure on that. I know it's legal if you have only one arm and the blade is less than 3", but the rest of us are out of luck.

I carry a Case Pocket Knife and have for a few years, it's actually lasted longer than any other I've ever had. Of course I carry my Gerber Multi-tool too, and use the knife blade on it quite a bit too, so it's extended the life of my case.

Colt Python Combat Folder

I think I have the first series of these knives, mine dosen't have the silver writing. it is quick and fluid in opening and closing. I don't use it much, mine is in perfect condition.
