I just went to by new belts for my 01 rado 5.3 and they wanted to know if I had the 105 amp or 130 amp alternator. How can I tell which one it is? I went ahead and bought both at autozone  so I can return which ever one is wrong.

Thanks

I believe that unless you ordered the snow plow option on your truck, it will be a 105.

Only those trucks with the snow plow prep package get the 130 amp alternators.

Thanks for you help!!

Replacing went really well any the squeeking that I have every morning is finally gone. I had to take off more pieces than I thought I would but it was not big deal since I had it on a lift  to get to the ac belt.
