Congrats on the new additon Doc.

Let's see some updates as you put some miles on it because my wife is almost in need of a new vehicle and I've been looking at the Av and I'd like to know what they are all about.

Very nice looking truck!! I hope you like it.... is there much leg room in the back? I took a quick look at one and it didn't look like there was much....

Nice upgrade, Doc. Not only did you go to the top of the line, you got rid of a Ford. Good move.

Thanks guys, I am really happy with it. Only serious problem I have had so far is that it seems to take about 20 extra minutes at every stop to talk to everyone about it - More than one wanted me to drop everything and show the midgate thing, etc. Depends on my mood. Have not found a real problem yet, although the bigbrotherish "I will turn your lights on for you now" was a little disconcerting at first. Seats and ride are exceptionally comfortable, especially when compared to the predecessor. More news as events warrant.

Be well all!

The back seat in the Avalanche should be the same as the HD crew cabs...  Room wise that makes it identical to the second row seat of the Suburban...

I don't know about the HD crew cabs, but I agree about the Suburban analogy. I am 6'2", and I sat in the back seat with my driver's set in the normal position, and knees did not hit the driver's seat. Really tall and/or big people may have to ride up front, but it should be OK for most people.

I think the square rear of the cab has some really fine lines and contributes greatly to the overall beauty of the Avalanche. Know what I mean?
