headlight override?

i personally hate my headlights being on at night when im pulling into the house at night. when i turn the light switch off, i want my lights to be off. anyone know how i can override the headlights, so that i can turn them on and off myself? i hate the daytime running lights too, but a friend that works at GMC took care of that, he seems to have no time for the headlights.

Not 100% sure it will work in your "99, but for the 2000 you can hit the dome override button 4 times and it turns them off

I just looked at your pics Tom and was wondering if your kit came with the "RED" scotchlock wire connectors or if you got some red ones yourself to use...
