Westin pulls through

I bought my westin cps bars in Dec. and love them but last week the step pad fell off.

I e-mailed Westin and with no hassle whatsoever they put a new pad and the 4 clips in the mail for me...

Great sevice without the hassle......

Just in case some of you were deciding on what type of nerfs to buy, this really shows that Westin backs up what they sell.

Westin has good customer service and stands behind their products... (although they can sometimes be a little slow to respond).

I have the chrome Oval Tubes. The first pair the chrome started to flake off... The second pair was supposed to be cured but same problem... I have a S/O # for another set to ship, but it was halted when customer service called me and said that Engineering and R/D have halted all production on the Chrome Ovals (Probably a good idea)

I was offered any other Westin product, or I was told I could wait... I really like the Ovals so I'm waiting for now.

I've had great customer service from them as well. I recently had a replacement pad sent too. Prior to that, I had one break and when they sent the new one it had a different tread pattern. I e-mailed them and told them about it and they sent me two more (3 door model truck) matching ones to complete the set without any problems.

My experience is the same, I had a cosmetic defect in one step pad and I was missing a few plastic washers. In less than a week I had a new step pad clips and washers, no muss, no fuss. I am diggin the lifetime warranty, I believe they will stand behind their products.

so, it sounds like westing has great customer service but their products aren't of the best quality...

I'm happy with mine as well so far. No problems. The directions are a little tough though. My box had some different size washers and bolts and the directions were not clear enough as to which ones went where. It called out the same bolts and washers in all locations.

What I ended up doing was laying out all the pieces and even distrubuted the bolts and washers to get a mix. It all worked out but took a little extra time.

dont get us wrong, they make a great product. I have owned several of there other products without any problems and the overall apperance of there products are awesome.

I put Westin chrome steps on my 99 and had trouble understanding the directions. When I called the tech number, I received friendly and clear help. Had them on for about three years and they looked great. Just put their platium bars on my 04 and they (now since I know how) went on without a hitch. I'm very happy with them...just hope I don't need to test their warrantee.
