Just got my new truck and it makin some weird...

I just got my my 98 1500 silverado today and it's a 5 speed V6 with 117,000 miles on it. The truck drives great but it makes a slight scraping noise right when the clutch is engaging and you going for about 300 RPM and then it stops. It does this everytime I start out and sometimes sounds like the tires are grabbing but I know it's the transmittion making that noise. It stops after 3rd gear is engaged, but does it agian when i'm going slow in first gear. What could this be? Also, the truck feels really smooth when it's just cruising, but when I try to excellerate, it seems to maybe bog down a little bit and get a tad bit jumpy. Maybe something with gas? Thanks for the help guys, and should I change out any fluids or anything? Also, could different types of tires with different amounts of tread throw off the balance and alignment of the truck? Is it suppose to make a clanking sound when sometimes being put in reverse. Thanks for all of the info
