What is included in the 99 2dr Tahoe Sport Package

Recommended Posts

Hello. First post here. My wife and I are going to be purchasing a 99 Chevy Tahoe soon. We like the 99 because it is the last year for the 2 door and that is what we want.

I have been looking around at them and have done a lot of research on them but I cannot find anywhere what the "sport package" on the Tahoe has. Is it the same as the Z71 but without the heavy duty suspension and grill guard?

We want a black LT with the fender flares on it. Basically how the Yukon GT lookes on the outside.

Thanks in advance!

This has got to be one of the worst sites ever... How can a board about GM trucks not know what is included in a certain package available on a Chevy truck???

The information that you are looking for isn't exactly common knowledge, and some members only check this site periodically...Not everyday like some of us do.

Sometimes answers aren't just immediately available. You have to have a little patience.

By the way, the people that you are seeking information from that form the knowldege base on this site....Make this site what it is....Bashing the site will not help you get an answer.

Eric SS,

The Tahoe "SPORT" pkg. is basically the same as the GMC Yukon GT you mentioned, they all had the flares that you want but the front and rear bumpers along with the grill, the flares and the lower portion of the rocker panels where painted in a semi-gloss dark charcoal metallic paint,You could get the leather interior as an option, the Z71 was an option also and there was no factory grill guard available on the older style trucks/Tahoes with the "SPORT" pkg. just with the Z71 pkg.

Basically the "SPORT" pkg. was just an appearance pkg. with all the other options available. (It was meant for people who did not want or like chrome since it took all the chrome off.)One of the guys here in the body shop has one.

And by the way I did not see your post until today, I was out of town for trainning (I work at a GM dealer and got to drive the new "C6" Corvette and "SSR" with the 6 Liter in it down at Atlanta Motor Speedway, AWESOME!!)and did not have access to a computer,so as Wingnut said sometimes just give us a few days and somebody will have the answer your looking for!

Don't make a habit of posting stuff like this, and maybe people will answer more questions you might have in the future.
