Im getting ready to install jvc 12 disc mp3 player. does anyone know how to tap in to the fuse box and retain the RAP function. i was thinking of tapping into the power window fuse, but im not sure how to physically tap into a fuse. the wires coming from the fm mod box have silver "bullet" shape connectors, do these go right into the back of the fuse? im not sure how to get to the fuse panel from behind the dash?? help!

There should be a wire on the back of the radio that is for this function specifically, and seperate from the main power. The CD changer should have one as well, and you should be able to splice into it.

thanks. after doing some research, i think im just going to splice into the factory harness wires that i need to. since im keeping the head unit in, and using the same power features, i think the RAP capabilities to my cd changer will apply, i hope so anyways. if you think not or know anything different, let me know. i really dont want to have to turn my changer off every time and would rather have it shut off when i open the door.

Like I said, you should have a remote turn-on lead on the CD changer seperate from the main power wire. Your radio also has this lead. Splice them together, and run the main power for the CD changer directly to the battery, and voila! Many tunes.

If it is the Colorado you are trying to tie into there is no acc. wire coming out of the radio. The p/u uses the new databus that turns on/off the radio. You might be able to tie into the cd/xm connector on the back of the radio for power. I don't know about that for sure though. I was unable to find an easy place to splice into for RAP on my Colorado.
