Well that sucks. Why? Its kinda dark without them. I think my mom's 00 Z71's do.

You could re-wire them so that they do. It would be a simple wiring job.

My '03 has the option to have those overhead map lights come on or not when the doors open or close.

the 03s are wired differently than the 99-02s.

With one connection and a diode you could make the 99-02s come on with the door and independantly also.

Matt, you do have some lights coming on when you open the doors right? If not, hit that dome overide button to the left of the steering wheel.

Yea, the lights on the door and the lights under the dash light up. But that still seemed dark to me. Oh well.
