audio help

Im new at all this but any way to the question?

What would be the best and easyest audio system to replace the stock? Nothing to expensive and nothing to cheap. i got a 2001 sierra extended cab no on-star. let me know if you need to know anything else.

Are you worried about giving up the room under the rear seat?

 

Are you going to be doing the install, or will you be paying for it?

um well about the budget thing, I just dont want it to be too expensive.

 

i like what your doing in yours with the downfiring under the seat!

 

I'll be doing the instillation my-self but i have a buddy that knows how to do the installing. And im the kinda person that does it till its right or the way i like it.

 

i dont really want it extreamly loud i just want it to give me deep rich bass, nothing that will make someone 3 blocks away turn around and "i hear it but i dont see it" By the way i dont know if it matters but i already have my truck sound proofed, verry well.

 

About the room under the seat, i saw a 01 sierra truck at a show that had the same kinda thing you had but it had a little release switch that let him unplug his subs that took the room under the seat, and take it out to let him use the space under neathe then he just put it down and turned on the system and it sounded "ok" do you know how he did that or how i could do that?

 

Um about choice of system, what do you recomend?

Alot of people have just replaced the stock speakers with a better speaker like the Infinity Kappa. Appearantly the weak link in the stock system is more the speakers than the head unit...

I just installed a set of Kappa 60.5cs in the front doors and just love them, they are so much tighter and cleaner than the OE toilet paper drivers. But, now the stock head unit really isn't up to that task of pushing them (they'll take 90 Watts RMS each), so now I need a new head unit/changer so I can install the 4 channel amp I have sitting around collecting dust. It never ends!

I did that to mine using a 7 way trailier plug and receptacle. Works is all I can say. I would post picks but my carpet on the box is
