New Avalanche here!!

Hello to everyone since I am now a proud new owner of a Chevrolet Avalanche!  The Ava came in the evening of Sat. the 22nd and with only 4 hours notice the dealer was able to prep it for pickup on Christmas Eve!

Wish I coulda posted this much earlier.  But soon as I picked it up I headed out of town to spend time with family.  Unfortunately family members with no computers.   :)

So I am just now getting home to post the great news.

Everyone who has been for a ride is amazed how quiet it is, how smooth the ride, and the loads of room and versatility!

Only a couple hundred miles so far.  Every mile has been absolute contentment and no regrets whatsoever!

Got all options except the running boards.  Going to put on a set on Manik Nerfs.  Its a 1500 4wd, Onyx black, tan interior.

Congrats on the Avalanche

You will love it, great trucks.  So, any pointers on what you wrote to Santa to get such a nice Christmas present??  :)

Hey Gandolphxx

Ok, I surrender, looking at your sig there is NO WAY I will be able to catch you on the toy list my friend.  Your Av2500 is sounding like it is coming together really nicely.

Quick question, what is the 'line of fire' rear light system you mention?  Do you have a URL for the poduct?

Thanks in advance, best wishes for a happy and healthy 2002

I'm picking up a black 2500 this afternoon.  I looked for a while and need the towing capacity, don't want a standard pickup, and don't want to spend the extra 8-9K for the suburban(everything in stock comes loaded around here).  I did like the idea of being able to call the boat/truck combo "Burban and water", but hey, maybe next time.

Congrats with your purchase and welcome to the forum. You'll find this site to be very valuable for getting tons of information on your avalanche.

I gotta say the number of Avalanche is growing quite rapidly around here. There are only a couple of differnces between mine and yours. I don`t have the roof rack, but have the steps. Besides that, mine has graphite interior. I love mine and it has been wonderful. And so far none of the problems mentioned here.
