I'm torn......

Yes for the camera, but no for getting it at Wal-mart.:)

If you could see what they do in those stockrooms, you'd agree.

Is it available anywhere else?

Trust me ive been on the flip side i have seen it all.  Used to work in a lumber yard unloading trucks and such.  Only thing i ever broke was a freak accident.  12 ft plastic decking they loaded it up about 10 ft high no spacers finally got it on the forks started to back out it started to slide (slippery stuff) i stopped and it slid off.  Bounced like a superball off the ground.  I should have been charged but my manager was cool and he seen it wasnt my fault.

One megapixal is pretty small for todays standards.  However, it would be a great camera for posting pics on the "net".  Also the price for a camera and printer together seem like a good deal...

I want to change my vote to yes... (sorry)

I'm looking for a digital camera myself, something on the cheap end 50-100 bucks.  I just need something to post pics of installs on the web.  It's cheaper than using my other camera, getting it developed and then scanning it.  I figure after about 150 pics it will have paid for itself.

dont go for it   you will be kicking yourself square in the butt in the future for not getting one with over 3mp's and not for buying a better name..

kodak is great on film but their digital camera's are shitty.

plus it uses 4 AA batteries   never get a digital camera that doesn't use a nikon or infolithium battery, the lcd alone will drain the batteries in hours.

and it uses compact flash which is not the best memory standard out.

me to nex,    as much freelance work as I do  I have to have something reliable and high quality.. and a cheap kodak camera isn't going to do that.

I agree LarryE and Nexus1 with getting something a little better.  How much is the camera worth without getting the printer?  Then again, I'm used to using the company digital camera (unfortunately it has to stay at work.  ??? )  They paid in the neighborhood of $1000!!  You can't beat its resolution!  I can't justify that for myself.  I still don't have a digial camera, though I REALLY want one.

On the otherhand, I think the kodak is a good (excuse me for the language, I don't mean anything by it) "beginner" camera.  Learn what you like and dislike about it, and later upgrade.  You will find that zoom is nice!   :D  I agree with Shaners, it is a good internet camera.  I fear that you will find the camera resolution is quite noticable if you choose to print out the images.  Stick with film for that.

Now since you have the camera, I'm expecting LOTS of pictures to be posted!!!  Keep it in the truck for those photo opps when you spank a "non-GM" truck.   :):D
