Wheel to Wheel Tube Steps

Was looking around the WAAG site at the front grill guards and saw their "wheel to wheel" side tubes, as they call them.

TxDoc...I'm not the brightest bulb in the GM toolbox so pardon me....what do the wheel to wheel steps have to do with the toolboxes? What am I missing? (oh boy, am I asking for it with that last line)

i actually have those exact steps on my dually and they are great not only for the tool box, but also when you are trying to reach something that is in the middle of the bed

hey that wheel to wheel is a good idea, sometimes when needing to reach in my bed from the side, i have wished i had a little extra height. i have westins but the only cover to the extended cab.

okay newbie, some guys have a crossover tool box that you access from the side of the truck and if you have a nerf bar to stand on it makes it much easier to get in the inside of the box. You get about 12" more height and reach when you can stand on something. Those would work great for work trucks.
