6000 mile update

I bought my Silverado in May and I just rolled 6052 miles on it today. The engine has 161 hours which works out to 37.6 mph average speed. The gas milage has been good. Currently getting 16 mpg on country roads and 20 freeway. Those numbers would probibly be better but I have 285 BFGs and the speedo has not been corrected. I have made only one road trip in it from Virginia to Maine and got 19.9 mpg running 85 mph with the A/C on. Pretty impressive for a 4.8 imho.

Clear Corner Lights are on order.

Next immediate mods include:

Suburban Grill

Bilsteins HD Shocks

Plus a bunch of other stuff.

I have had two minor problems with it.

First was water in one of the fog lights. I think it was cracked by a flying rock. Replaced under warrenty.

Second was the gasket for the drive side door was replace because it made a rubbing noise when the door was closed. I think it dried out from the weather. Replaced under warrenty.

Not to bad for a truck that was manufactured on 07 Jan 2001.

I am by far more pleased with this truck then any I have ever owned. I hope that all of you are having the same good luck I am having.
