So i put on a flowmaster on my 04 2500hd cc 8.1l it was the big ass 5 chamber or something like that real quiet so i had muffler shop put 4in turn down instead of running it out the back. for about a month before I chopped it felt no difference than stock not like I expected any but after i chopped it I feels like I gained bottom end and lost some topend I would have thought the opposite. With lees back pressure shouldn't it be the other way around?

Flows dont flow that well. Your better off with a straight piece of tubing in place of that Flowmaster. I had 2 40 series on my truck ant they went bye-bye. They flat out killed my low end. That kind of crap is synonymous with Flowmasters. Im sure that 5 chamber induced quite a bit of backpressure.
